purchasing agent often get the wrong package or wrong part when purchasing， TI's 74 series components. This is because the naming rules of the Product Number are not thorough enough. The following table can solve many of your problems.


As usual, let’s go to the picture first. The first row is standard. 54 is military device. 74 is commercial device. The second column is series. The third row is product characteristics. If there is no mark, it means the product has no special characteristics. The fourth row is The fifth line is the bit width and size. The sixth line is the function. The seventh line is the revision of the device. It has A-Z. If it is blank, it means there is no revision. The eighth line is the package. The last one is the outer packaging.

• Let’s analyze it first: SN74 is a commercial series device. ABT belongs to the ABT series. The H bus has Bus-Hold functional characteristics. A component of 16 bits in size 2 represents the second type of operation port 244. Function, the revision of A device is A. If it is blank, it means there is no revision. DGG corresponds to TSSOP package. R means tape and reel.
